Is Vuzebox powerful enough to play 1080i?
Yes, with CoreAVC codec using both 2GHz cores 1080i is played smoothly
Why there's no DVD/Blu-ray drive?
Medialess media is the way of the future. HD DVD is already out. Blu-ray will be replaced by USB flash drives as soon as prices are acceptable.
Does it have a remote control?
It would be difficult to navigate Vuze with remote, we suggest a bluetooth keyboard like diNovo Mini
Can I use Vuzebox for something else?
Absolutely! All hardware/software is standard with minor tweaks: standard Intel platform, standard Fedora 8 and Vuze/Azureus install. You can use it for a firewall, install other Bittorrent client, install other OS.
Why being lead free is important?
If your computer is old and not ROHS-certified it most likely uses lead-based solder. That means when it heats up during use and fans blow the air out you get lead in your room! Although concentration would be low, there is no minimum level of lead exposure which will not adversely affect human health.
